Read Carefully
It is important that you consider everything when building or renovating your home. Here are a few things that may help you ensure you end up with outcome you are looking for:
* Contracts & Specifications - Though we will discuss all contract and specification items with you thoroughly, it is important that you have an understanding of everything that is considered within both of these documents. If you have any queries, these need to be discussed before they are signed. The builders on site will construct each project as per the plans and specifications that you have signed off on.
* Plans - Whether you have had a draftsman create your plans, or we have designed them for you, it is imperative that they are exactly what you want. Once the plans are completed, they are stamped by the building surveyor and a permit is organised. If changes are made to the plan after this time, then the permit might need to be updated, and charged may apply.
* Extra Works - In almost every construction project, there will be extra works that are carried out. Try to keep these to a minimum, as extra works incur extra costs. It is important to discuss the possibility of extra works at the beginning of the job if possible.
* Pictures/Photos - If you are not 100% sure of what look you are trying to achieve in your new home/renovation, pictures or photos can be very helpful. If you see something in a magazine or on a website, take a copy and this will help us when estimating costs for your job, and completing necessary plans. (Pictures/Photos can also be helpful when you are trying to figure out the type of colour scheme you are going for, or other features: brick type, cladding type, roofing type, etc).
