Michael Wearne - Director
Michael Wearne’s enthusiasm for using his hands to create began over 30 years ago when he took up an apprenticeship with a local builder at the age of 16. Seeking creative control and the satisfaction of directly serving the needs of his clients, Michael established his own company in 1988. Inspired by their father’s dedication to his craft, Michael has been joined in this truly family business by both his son Scott and daughter Simone.
Scott Wearne
Scott began his apprenticeship with the family business in 2003, and having completed his qualifications is now dedicating his skills to maintaining the high standards of workmanship his father has set. He enjoys all facets of carpentry, yet is well advanced in tiling, and enjoys running this side of things on all Wearne Builders projects.
Simone Wearne
Studying small business management, Simone was the recipient of a Chisholm Institute School of Business Award in 2005. In order to enhance further the quality of service Wearne Builders has always supplied, Simone is currently completing a course in Residential Drafting & Design. Not content with office management, Simone is also undertaking a building apprenticeship, so that she fully understands and meets the needs of Wearne Builders’ diverse clients. Michael, Simone and Scott head up a team of hard-working, long-time employees. Wearne Builders has strong links with the community, undertaking volunteer work and being heavily involved in local sporting groups. As a family business, Wearne Builders understands the needs of your family.
